Like a stream of uncontrolled thoughts and tiny beads of perspiration. Blocking out that one little dark thought in the deepest recesses of their little minds, that one little thought of defeat and rejection by the people of this country. That one little thought is seeping slowly from the darkness into the light, and like a wild animal anticipating an earthquake or a natural calamity, they are jittery and nervous and defensive. Will they jump off the cliffs? Or will they make down to the river so they can be saved? :)
