Why is she called Pickles? |

You know, the Stepford wife? Where did the nickname Pickles come from?

2. Dubya came up with the name... |
|
It references a Dick Van Dyke sitcom character. Sounds like the kind of "poker buddies" joke he would use.

partners and "friends". Taken from Morey Amsterdam's absent, flakey, avaricious wife in the "Dick Van Dyke Show." Mean and stupid, but crafty. Just what I want in a leader.
I would prefer my S.O. to come up with an affectionate nickname. How about "sugar" or "love" or "sweetpea", or just my real name.
Not anything like "Pickles". Might as well be "Pretty Sour Puss", or "Scratchy Ass", or "Droopy Boobs", or "Jewelry Hound", or "Lump Mate", or "Reading Girl", and thus my conclusion: he is a jerk. Furthermore, he needs to put people down in order to feel superior. If my mate called me "Pickles", I would exact terrible revenge.
edit: First paragraph, I meant that * is stupid and crafty. On the other hand, he is also mean and avaricious. Pickles on the show was absent, and just pretty dim. Maybe it all applies.

5. Bartcop started calling her that early on ... |
|
I don't know that I have ever read that it was Bush's nickname for her. In fact, Bartcop could well have started calling her that based on the same pop-culture reference.
