My quest for a John Kerry Yard Sign
So I checked into the Colorado Democratic Headquarters a few weeks ago and they said they would have some signs in soon. I go back today and they have signs, bumperstickers and pins, but not yard signs. They instruct me to go over to the JFK HQ on Grant St. It takes me 20 min. to find it because there are no signs outside the building proclaiming its the HQ, and when I do get there - it's locked and no one is around.

As far as I am concerned Colorado is a battleground state. Wake up Kerry Campign...a little more visibility please.

So does anyone know how I can get a yard sign?

3. Here in Stillwater
all I could get were bumper stickers---so those are now on the cars. I had to order yard signs from johnkerry.com. But they don't come with the wire frame. Where can I get a wire frame? This should be easier.

27. The Tulsa party had some.
They likely are all gone by now.

I wonder why this hasn't been taken care of? It may not change minds but when there are tons of them out there it gives the feeling of momentum.

23. Hey, don't tell me! I'm in Georgia! There is nothing here.
Nevertheless, i would say that there was likely only enough "Kerry" stuff to last up to the convention. Now they want the "Kerry/Edwards" stuff out there, but it will take a little while logistically. Designing/printing/shipment.

The one thing I would say is that us activist supporters should not mind paying for our signs. I've been hearing Kerry volunteers here whining because they have to pay for this stuff. We are supposed to be helping, not draining them! Save the freebie stuff for converted shwing voters.

And also, my understanding is that the conventional wisdom is that yard signs do little good until very close to the election. (Not sure I agree with this but this is what we were told on the Max Cleland campaign.) So they may hold them out until later anyway.

I've got mine (paid for) out by the street. Nobody has stolen or defaced it yet!

13. Be patient. The campaign is snowed under by requests for
such things as bumper stickers and yard signs. Go to the Kerry site, then go to Kerry gear. Buy a yard sign or other such goodies. Buy extras to pass around to your friends and families.

You can get 100 bumper stickers for under $50.

Get some Kerry shirts, and head over to the local university on move in day. Help them move in. Give them info on local Dem organizations, including the campus Democratic clubs. Don't be pushy, they are under enough pressure. You may not be even need to promote Kerry, just your help and the knowledge that you are with Kerry may be enough.

Wear your Kerry clothes to their hangouts, (coffeehouses and such). When they ask were you got it, tell them, then let them know how to get involved. Carry buttons and bumper stickers with you. Be friendly, helpful, and generous.

19. Best Value is the "Large House Party Pak" including shipping $68.00
This includes the following items:

http://shop3.kerrygear.com/Merchant2/merchant_mvc_screen_prod_product_code_k955_category_code_sp.htm

50 Campaign Lapel Stickers
10 Rally Signs
10 Yard Signs (wires not included)
50 Balloons
1 Logo Lapel Pin
1 Kerry 2004 Pin
1 U.S. Pin
1 John Kerry DVD

Doesn't include bumperstickers, but you can add them in and if you and other friends want some yard signs, the cost is a lot less than ordering one for $10.50 (includes shipping charge)

18. On Kerrygear.com, I ordered my Large Party Pak w/ 10 Yard signs
Edited on Sat Jul-31-04 04:31 PM by Pachamama
...and its on backorder.....spoke to a friend locally in the Kerry Campaign and they can't get them printed up fast enough, they are going fast....

http://shop3.kerrygear.com/Merchant2/merchant_mvc_screen_prod_product_code_k955_category_code_sp.htm

But get this - one of the reasons they don't get them sooner - they are refusing to print them up overseas for less and faster....they are doing it in the good ole US of A....Good for them....

I can wait a few weeks more....but in terms of marketing, the sooner the better....

Place your online order....you will get them, I promise....

SPECIAL NOTE: Team up with some friends and order the "Large House Party Pak" (link above) It's $45.00 with $23.00 shipping, ($68 total) but you get a whole lot more (including 10 yard signs) and can share the cost. If you order one yard sign alone off the site incl. shipping is $10.50...

Buttons are nice but are very expensive.

....coverage for the Property....One sees so many of the signs here in CA, but I need to do all I can....

But I agree...bumper stickers are great - and especially if you want to stick them over a Bu$h/FUCheney 04 sticker on a Hummer...

30. The more cars with the Kerry stickers the better.
It will demoralize the bushistas

Look at it this way, the Hummer costs a lot of money to fuel. The more he puts in the gas tank, the less he has to give to the RNC.

34. That's good. Two weeks is acceptable.
We will need at least three thousand in our county.

I know we have handed out over a thousand bumper sticker in the past couple months.

Our mayor had the first Kerry yard sign in our area. I gave it to her.
