3. Did anyone see the lame arguments the two republicans gave...
...for Bush sitting on his ass for 7 minutes after he was told the country was being attacked????? Pathetic. I am happy SOMEONE is pounding on that issue. I also thought Barack Obama's advice to the young man regarding why he should vote was very profound in its simplicity.

9. I Thought Barack's Short Segment Was Great
"Politics only works if it connects up with something that you do. I mean don't just vote because someone told you to vote, that ain't gonna work, because you'll always find a reason not to do it. I don't care whether your a big music star or you work in Micky D's, Uncle Sam's taking some of your check. And he's either putting it in schools, or he's putting it in prisons, he's either putting it in roads and bridges and hospitals here, or he's putting them in Iraq after they've been destroyed."

"If you don't like what you see going on around you, if it offends your sensibility, then for you to not do anything about it, is to admit defeat. I don't like being punked like that".

- Barack Obama, Real Time, 7/30/04

4. That was Cheneying Hillarious!
I only saw 10 minutes of the show but I cracked up at that part. They can get away with doing that since they supported Ralph in 2000.

5. I did. That was hysterical. I think Nader got a kick out of it, too.
It was unexpected.

Great show. Glad Maher's back!

12. The begging while seemingly lighthearted
actually wasn't. It was two gown men who respected Nader begging him not to hurt Kerry's chances in the most important election of our lives.

I wish it had worked.

Other funnier moments: When Congressman Drier (R-CA) tried to lure Moore to the dark side, Moore asked if that would make him a "flip-flopper."

Also when Drier started criticizing the "facts" in the movie, Moore asked if he'd seen it. He hadn't he admitted, yet was daring to misquote it. MM visibly snorted and threw his head in his hands.

I am sure it will be on cable a dozen more times.

17. That was pointedly brutal because Maher turned his back visibly
on Nader after that. I have to watch again. I thought both Maher and Moore were in fighting moods.

18. one of the best Real Times ever!!
Kim Cambell gave Ralph a good stern talking-to. Ralph was just incoherent; he is now in crazy old man mode.

I was rolling on the floor at the opener with Bill Maher reading My Pet Goat and then being told it's time to go out into the studio. Moore's narration was perfect.

Moore's repeated "flip-flop" comments to Drier were right on. Did you see when Drier just lost it, turned red and started babbling? Throw a winger's shit back at them and there heads explode. It's like opening the curtains on a vampire.
