Novak Predicts Election Theft
The Prince of Darkness indicated on Capitol Gang tonight that he has sources who are telling him that the Democrats ( that's right the Democrats ) have plans underway to steal the 2004 Election . This goes beyond desperation to lunacy . Novak has always been conservative , but he is so over the top partisan , you have to wonder whether the WH believes they can squeeze him on Plame and get him to say anything they want .

If Repugs accuse someone of something, 99 times out of 100 it is the very thing they lust to do.

7. His sources?
You would think he would be leary of using the word "SOURCES." I wonder if they are the same sources that leaked Valerie Plame's name. My mother called me the other day and told me how she is always praying that Novak's false teeth would fall out on live television. I actually thought that was kind of mean for a little old lady!

10. He's laying the groundwork
I can see the Republicans refusing to hand over the Presidency because the Democrats "stole" the election, so the results are not valid.

16. If it's another close election and the Pukes lose again
you can bet the Republicans will again take it into the courts, for a recount or to try to disqualify the results. They've already profited from this once and wouldn't think twice about doing it again.

11. This is going to be the new repug meme
because they know that Bu$h can't win.

The only thing they can do at this point, is to try to prevent Kerry from winning too. Do not expect Kerry to be declared the winner on election night, no matter how much of a landslide he wins by. The repugs are going to contest every count, in any place that could possibly go to Bu$h.

In the meantime, Bu$h will dig his heals into the WH and declare himself President for life in order to resolve the mess.

However, this time the Stand Down orders will not be followed.

12. It's as if the Republican strategists make a list
of their party's shortcomings/failures, then reassign them to the Democrats as a defense strategy. Novak's comment seems to be part of a coordinated effort to plant the seed, because there was also a flyer that was circulated in Florida, urging Floridian Republicans to vote absentee to ensure that their votes would be counted. Just when I thought I'd heard of everything...

24. You're right, this is part of their coordinated, pre-emptive strike
against President Kerry. They know they're going down so they're already trying to taint Kerry's victory. By getting this talking point out to all the gop parrots now, by the time election day rolls around it will be "common knowledge" amongst the bush worshipers that Kerry "stole it." Then they can spend the next four years squawking about how Kerry is not the rightful president. :puke:

17. I heard that and sensed an impending train wreck
Novak would be the shill that throws the idea out. Soon concern over election issues will come to a full boil. There is chaos on election day and no one can be declared winner. The SC steps in again.
Is this the October Surprise?

20. this is too serious. another rove ploy
we have seen this all so we know it when we see it. it is the liar. interesting creature, liar without conscious. tis a hard thing to do with conscious and it is a site to behold. this is the bush........this is who they are. i have had two people in life, one a lifetime, and one just the last 5 years. and to see this liar, a wow

but this one is big. to say democrats are going to steal. many of the things that they do, they say the other is doing. (another tool to see the things they are doing, called mirroring)

all the evidence all the proof and they didnt get in trouble for 2000 and 2002. even moore putting it out loud didnt bring to outrage. our vote for christ sakes. and we shrug. (not those of us on this board, the nation)

this ploy is going to bring clearity if we ride the wave our choice.

remember those gop notes sent out to florida residents to absentee vote, and jeb pretend outrage, and bush picture in brochure, and outrage.

and then they say as they see they are losing that dems are stealing election. this has already been fed to the base have heard them say it. hannity and limbaugh are going to start this week. see what they grow.

damn they are dumbshits, they are too naked to get away with this shit, surely. and a lot of dems and liberals and other groups are saying it outloud

ok i am ready, bring It oN

23. Novak's teeth HAVE fallen out on TV
I was explaining just now on another thread that one of his crowns was out some years ago and he had the post-core showing - gold, no less.

they're gonna say we stole the election, declare martial law and run it by the Supremos who will make just one more on-time ruling that the Rethugs are entitled to the pResidency.

If Bush loses 49 states they'll STILL do the same thing...

28. Something's been bothering me for 3 1/2 years...
well, something else too:

on Selection Night, the Bush people said the same thing about PA as they did about Florida - I know because I heard and saw both live in the network feeds AND in the local news here in PA. The Bush people predicted that they were going to win Pa by 2 pts or so - Thornburgh and Ridge made the statements on the air right before the networks awarded the state to Gore. both said that it was a mistake and would be subject to the 'real' numbers. it was very weird since I'd never heard that before. Then in that hotel room with the whole values-oriented Bush fambly, they said the same thing about FL - it was clearly fixed. I've always wondered what went wrong in PA? For them that is?

it might mean that the electronic machines will either be equipped with a paper ballot or will be banned by the Republicans. If they don't ban them or fix them with a paper ballot, it means they have the fix in to win.

37. I suspect this is a "pre-emptive prediction"
in the same way the claims that the media is liberal helps stave off criticisms that it's actually biased toward the right.

Here's the real danger, I think: without election results that can be validated (and even with them), whichever side loses is NOT going to accept it, especially if it's close, but probably even if it isn't. Paperless voting will create a disaster, either way.

38. Interview with Novak
HLC: Mr. Novak, what are some of your predictions for the 2004 Election?

Novak: I predict our Fearless Leader will be re-elected in a landslide, and the Heavens will part, and God's true light will shine down forevermore.

HLC: Wow, that's pretty bold. What else ya got?

Novak: The Democrats will try and steal the election, and Satan himself will walk the Earth, spreading fire, and disease everywhere he goes. This will all be John Kerry's fault.

HLC: That's amazing! Where do you get this stuff?

Novak: My sources are confidential. They are NOT former Nazi war criminals in hiding in Argentina, I don't care WHAT you say.

HLC: We never said that.

Novak: Oh. Of course you didn't. Heh-heh.

HLC: OK, well moving along...

Novak: OH MY GOD! THE WALLS ARE MELTING! I'M A DUCK! I'M A DUCK!

HLC: What is that about?

Novak: Oh, that's just the acid KICKING IN.

HLC: Really? Can you elaborate?

Novak: THE SPIDERS ARE RUNNING UP MY LEGS AND THEY'RE TRYING TO INFILTRATE MY FLESH! STOP THEM! YOU MUST STOP THEM!

HLC: Well, that's all we have this week. Tune in next week for Joe Scarborough's amazing Heroin interview.
