Terror Level Up in NYC = No Demonstrations at Convention
Wow, that was tough to figure out. Raise it in Washington and they can ban demonstrations or even gatherings of people there as well.

5. Ridge about to announce it the afternoon
CNN reporting DC and NYC going to Level Orange.

What amazing timing.

Just when all the polls are coming out showing Kerry with a huge lead.

11. NYC has been on Orange since 9/11/01
Nothing has changed here in three years. Thanks Chimpy, I feel so much safer with you in charge and all those homeland security dollars going to Wyoming.

10. OK, how about
we all meet in Kansas? Good, solid red state who never sees anything really exciting so they can't really stop that here. Why would any self respecting Republican(oops, terrorist) threaten Kansas? Smack in the middle, close to Missouri for a little swing state action. KC perhaps?

12. Bloomberg & the Police Commissioner are having a press conference
at 4pm today. Don't know if this means that they'll rachet up their terror alert level from Orange to Red though.

13. The protests:
Should be in Philadelphia--the birthplace of liberty. Close enough to New York to get attention, but far enough away that there wouldn't be free speech zones.

14. I could agree with that!
It still is a major city that might be subject to "terror attacks". That was my real reason. Nobody would threaten Kansas, nothing major is here. I doubt threatened AG attacks would shut down the state. Just a thought. Philly sounds great.

15. If This Is So Dangerous, Cancel The Convention
Why be sitting ducks for these evil doers...and save millions of dollars in the process.

Face it, no need to have a big media spectacle in New York when you control the media and have 70 million you have to spend/waste in the next 3 weeks to scare the sheeple into submission.

If this threat were real, should't the convention be moved or delayed to ensure it's safe? Isn't this what Homeland SECURITY is supposed to do??? The party didn't bother to really stage any primaries, what's the use of a nominating convention? But I know the hookers in New York would be supremely disappointed.

16. The issue must be forced
plain and simple. We must be willing to face jail, violence, even death to expose this evil. If the civil rights marchers allowed themselves to be herded into first ammendent zones we would still be living in apartheid america.
AMERICA IS A FIRST AMMENDMENT ZONE!!!!
