4. they will lose all control of the streets
the people are coming no matter what... they should just bow to the tide to keep some semblance of control

they may have to kick the repubs out of the Garden to hold the arrested protestors otherwise

idiots....

5. I hate paraphrasing for this reason.
There is a big, fundamental difference between 'limiting protest' and 'limiting the number of protest permits'.

24. I didn't say I didn't approve.

Which makes your ability to paraphrase even more suspect.

11. I second that.
Paraphrasing can be dangerous. Taking things out of context is utterly disasterous.

I am, however being careful not to say it is an exact quotation.

18. there ya go - and your pic shows us how to go about it - under cloudy
skies wearing a gas mask. We'll have to paint smiley faces on the masks so our comrades can see how happy we are in the new reality.

8. That First Amendment was nice while it lasted.
Our Founding Fathers would be ashamed. What they considered sacred rights of citizens are being trampled. King George of England must be laughing at us from hell.

19. I am beginning to think that probably 48%
of the population would be just fine with martial law, and would welcome it. I am surprised that they haven't polled that one yet.

21. Martial law in a tourist town? No way.
Bloomberg is way too smart for that. They have all the power they need without that.

Remember, this year, the cops ain't for Bush. Neither are the reservists guarding Penn Station.

12. Yeah, it's a shock.
ME, I don't want the protests, anyway. I'm scared shit that violence outside MSG or IN Penn Station will send undecideds scurrying to Bush.

I would infinitely rather NOTHING happen, so Bush looks like a coward again.

Why not ask the GOP not to come to New York. There the ones that want and need police protection.

23. How many times did he use specificity in one sentence?
This is how they are attempting to differentiate this threat from previous threats. Telling us we still don't know time, place, or method of attack, but we have more "specificity."

Yeah. I don't think I can make it to NYC, my daughter is getting married in Sept. I'm willing to try to help finance anybody who is. Where can I contribute to NYC protestors?

31. See Fahrenheit 911 on the day Chimp gives his acceptance speech
Push the attendance up again. Hit em in the wallet. They don't have enough brown shirts to clamp down on the whole nation, but they will have enough in Manhattan to stop the protesters.
