Dem/GOP Post Columnists bash Bush on same Iraq issues on same day
Edited on Fri Aug-22-03 02:58 AM by snyttri
Both liberal E.J. Dionne and conservative George Will say Bush's Iraq policy was a failure, and that an apology is owed to Gen. Shinseki for saying more troops were needed, in their 8/22 Wasington Post columns. He's a uniter not a divider after all.

1. Rumtum tiger should be the one apologizing. The double talking sidewinder
still says we don't need more troops.

2. George Will still doesn’t get it.
While he may hear the ringing of a clue phone in the distance, he writes this:

”To those who say that further internationalization of the occupation of Iraq would lessen U.S. "control," the response is: Control -- such as it is -- should not be the grandiose U.S. objective. Neutralization of Iraq as a source of terror will be sufficient.”

Someone needs to tell George Will that control of Iraq by these PNACers was and is the sole objective of the War of Bush Aggression, and that Iraq was not a source of terror until Bushco turned it into one.

And throughout his column Will speaks of historical situations where things went wrong because of misperceptions by political leaders. He still doesn’t understand that these Chickenhawk Neocons were never interested in the welfare of the people of Iraq (or Afghanistan for that matter), and that Bushco is actually counting on the perpetuation of a degree of chaos. Just not this much chaos.
