for Kerry/Edwards in swing states might be enough to really help sway the election. He has a pretty good reputation as far as celebrities are concerned. Women obviously love him and he has the right so called macho appeal for men, being that he once was engaged to marry Jennifer Lopez and starred in the movie Paycheck, and Armageddon. If cashing in on his celebrity status is what it takes to capture the interest of undecided female and male voters in crucial states then so be it. If any Bush lovers or Republicans complain to me or to anyone else just say,Arnold or should I stand corrected AHHHNOLD!!!Next we need Barack Obama not P Diddy to campaign with them in the major cities of the swing states and maybe Florida. Hey,whatever it takes. Does anyone else agree? :dem: :dem: :bounce: :kick::kick:

Your analysis sounds good to me. I think Ben is doing a great job. For some reason he takes a lot of shit on this board. Never quite figured out why. Methinks it's the Yankees fans. ;)

2. He is important to the campaign because... |
|
he relates to the youth. I do not particularly care for him as an actor, but he seems like a kind soul. He idolizes Ted Kennedy and THAT won me over.

3. Burned His Credibility . . . . |
|
. . . if he ever had any, with the Bennifer overexposure.
Plus Clinton repeatedly got burned for his"hollywood" connections. Kerry's already been burned by the NYC fundraiser. I don't think Afleck's likely to help except with 18-30 y.o. single women. And even then, not sure he'll help more than Edwards will. ;)

He had his share of issues with Jennifer but everything I've heard has been positive in the campaign.
The posts here are glowing about his intellect and his dedication.
I am certainly way above the 18-30 age and I would like to hear him speak.

7. And O'Riley endorsed him "snarf" My God, how |

bad could he be? If the Hollywood bunch pull in 50 votes for each of them, it will be well worth it. I personally think they are an asset, especially since there are so many of them against Bush and willing to say so. Go, Hollywood.

6. Well according to the news reports... |
|
the single women, who were absent in the 2000 election for the most part, can make or break this election. I do not understand it really. You would think a single woman would have more incentive to get out there and vote, more so than a married woman. She only receives one income, on her own, etc. The survival instinct would kick in, you would think. Interesting really.

13. you got to be kidding |

not only will he help with pulling out the votes because of the "celebrity factor" but also because he is extremely intelligent and knows what the hell he is talking about--unlike Arnold.

What an incredible campaign tour that would be. Kerry, Edwards, Obama. Maybe through the Great Lakes so he gets plenty of attention in Illinois. Maybe Indianapolis. Where else in Indiana could Obama rule? Could Obama make Indiana blue?

now live in California, or as Arnold has bastardized it, Kawl-E-forna.
I do not think they have much a chance of making that state blue, unfortunately. As much as I miss it, even though I am a city boy, it is for the most part very conservative from head to toe. In fact, currently IN is Kerry 27%, Bush 46% and Nader 0. At least my parents are voting Democrats.

help in Louisiana and Missouri, are they both considered a possible swing for the Blue States? Is New Jersey pretty safe for Kerry/Edwards or could Affleck or Obama be helpful. :dem:

18. Well lets take a look... |
|
Louisiana is a Bush state and he probably does not have much of a chance. Currently it is Kerry 36%, Bush 52%, No Nader. Red State.
However, Missouri is a state he could really make a difference in. Currently it is Kerry 49%, Bush 48%, Nader 2% (damn him). Swing State.
New Jersey is a Kerry state, Currently Kerry 50%, Bush 40%, Nader 2%, but they could make a difference by solidifying it.

17. I'll tell ya, Ben was marvelous at the Kerry rally I went to Friday ... |
|
... in Harrisburg, PA.
The young women in the audience were all a-twitter to see him ... he came out, looking beautiful, and gave a very short speech, and then hung back in the background, not calling attention to himself in any way, shape or form. Very anti-movie-star behavior.
Yet, I know he was an attraction for a lot of the younger women. They were screaming like crazy. But they STAYED to hear Kerry and Edwards speak.
Anyone who draws more people to hear the message is a good thing.
I watched Affleck going toe-to-toe with O'Lielly on Fox ... he did a nice job!
And ... this may sound lame, but ... with the Republicans calling Edwards the "Breck girl," and the "pretty boy" and all that ... you bring a REAL pretty boy along to the rallies, and that pulls that label off Edwards and puts it on Ben. So Edwards can give his speech as a candidate, not as a tootsie-pie (even though he's BOTH!).
