Last night on "Countdown" about the politicalization of the terror alerts. |
|
I'm glad Keith Obermann did a story about the seemingly "coincidental" timing of this latest terror alert...and the feeling that these alerts are political. Someone had to bring it up. Good for "Countdown".

I was literally blowing kisses to the TV screen. LOL. I love a man who talks TRUTH! And he looks so darned cute doing it. :)

2. Jon Stewart Did Too on The Daily Show |
|
Edited on Tue Aug-03-04 06:30 AM by REP
Dramatized it beautifully - just as he was settling in to talk about the successes of the convention, including Kerry's stronger than expected speech, a terror bulletin was handed to him, and he noted the 'odd' coincidental timing.
Yes, TDSwJS is a satrical show on the Comedy channel, but it draws a larger audience than Faux News!
Edited to add: great minds think alike, but one types faster!

3. better ratings than Fox News? |

Does TDS w/JS out-poll all of Fox News' programs? I would not be surprised.

4. I am glad to hear this but Fox broadcast 24/7/365 and Stewart |
|
is on only 30 minutes Monday through Thursday. I wish we had at least one media outlet that transmitted the truth.

6. Ashcroft announced the "Ohio Mall Bomber" plot on the eve of Kerry's... |

...visit to Columbus Ohio, in June... based on information garnered in December 2003.
When does this series of "coincidences" become a shady Rovian political scheme?

8. I wish one of our journalists |
|
would compile a list of all the terror alerts & look at the political implication...what were they trying to hide?
Oh, I forgot...investigative journalists are now extinct.

7. Keith Olberman is becoming one of my favorites. |
|
Often, I will hear of some new Bush atrocity here, on DU, and his show...and nowhere else.
Plus, I think his show is geared to reaching a younger audience-something that bodes well for the future, as we need to have an alternative for the young.
When I first encountered Keith on MSNBC, I was turned off by all the paper-wad throwing, etc...and didn't give him a hearing.
Now, having done so, I guess I have become part of his following.
If they would just dump Scarborough, what a fine world it would be.
