Criminal prosecution of Bush and company |
|
Would it be possible to initiate impeachment proceedings if the Dems win back the House in November?
Obviously, the only thing keeping it from happening now is that the party of the criminal suspects is in power.
Serious question. Anybody familiar enough w/ federal law governing this?

1. It's my understanding that the best approach would be two pronged |
|
an investigation by a House and/or Senate committee and an investigation by the DOJ. The House and Senate can take care of the conflict of interest issues and abrogation of treaties, the DOJ can take care of some of the criminal issues surrounding the nobid contracts awarded to top GOP contributors and the subsequent war profiteering.
There will need to be at least an exhaustive investigation of Bushco along both these lines if we're ever to get the US reputation as a country based upon law back. Personally, I think trials and convictions will be needed to accomplish this.
I just hope Kerry realizes this.
