I need to read that book, it sounds fascinating. I was born and raised in Kansas, but escaped and now live in Chicago. Since I don't keep up with their politics, I was shocked to hear during the Democratic Convention that they have a woman Democrat as Governor! I still don't know what that's all about. Any current Kansans care to tell me how that happened? How can Kansas be a solid red if they're open enough for something as improbable and wonderful as that?
