Last night, I thanked a wounded Vietnam veteran for his service. |

He's a new staff member at my college radio station who I met for the first time last night. He told me that he got wounded while serving in Vietnam--he has a bad limp and walks with a cane--and, upon his return home, became both a liberal and a Quaker.
I replied, "Since you guys haven't heard this nearly enough, I'm gonna say it: Thank you for your service."
Just thought I'd mention it.

Thanks for telling him that, I know from my own experiences most of us still appreciate a "welcome home".
