Tom Hanks and other celebrities to lead charge against Arnold
"Tom Hanks and many other card-carrying Hollywood Democrats are teaming up against Arnold Schwarzenegger to prevent the Terminator from being Governor fo California. Tom was furious when (a misleading) article in the LA Times appeared on Tuesday saying Creative Artists Agency would help Arnold in his bid for Governor..."

Among the stars opposed to Arnold: Woody Harrelson ("Woody is diametrically opposed to Arnold Schwarzenegger's poltical positions")
Martin Sheen, who suggested that Arnold is getting his "marching orders" from the White House. Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, Barbara Streisand, Steven Spielberg, Warren Beatty, Susan Sarandon, Al Franken, Ed Asner, Mike Farrell, Rob Reiner.

Cybil Shepherd has been quoted that California is "the laughing stock of the world"

30. Yep,time to tell actors to shut THE HELL UP again....
Its OK to speak out if they support Bush and his brownshirts, but if you go against the grain then your just a coke snorting, porn loving Liberal Hollywood actor who's opinion means nothing.

Gee,funny how all the actors opinions against Chimpboys illegal invasion were right on the money. Funny,I don't hear that discussed by the media Whores anymore. Hmmm....

6. I love the fair and balanced tone of the "article".
Woody Harrelson is "pot smoking" Woody Harrelson,

Martin Sheen is "oft-arrested" Martin Sheen,

and apparently Cybill Shepherd "freaked out" about this to Access Hollywood.

Oh PULEEZ.

Anyways, no sh** Tom Hanks, et. al. will be fighting that. Glad they're not skittish about being involved with the election, though with Hollywood's history I can understand being reluctant to be out front on something like this.

8. Did you see the interview where Cybil Shepherd
said she had kissed Gray Davis on the beach in Hawaii when they were teenagers? I thought that was so fine of her to say so, since Davis is being painted by the media as a sexless cold fish.

10. This is great - and great for them to be standing up
I hope others join them and it will be a lot harder for the media to sulley them all - especially Tom Hanks. However - re Cybil Shepherd - I saw a running streamer on Fox channel (of course) that Cybil Shepherd "kissed" Gray Davis - which I took as "oooh that Grey Davis is a baaaaaaddddd man" with the hint of a "sex scandal" there.

I love Tom as an actor and as a human being. His name adds a BIG emphasis to this article, even if it is from the rightwing rag, NYPost.

19. I think Spielberg
will bring more to the table with him - maybe a Tom Cruise - not that he's even that popular anymore - but he might help - his political philosophy seems pretty far right though - but Spielberg will be a huge asset.

27. Watch how Spielberg helps the campaign against AWOLBUSH.
The director of Saving Private Ryan really knows how to get through to audiences using real life heroics and not Bushit photo ops.

17. I;m so glad to see this. I love Tom Hanks, but I started
to get the feeling he was playing for the bad guys, what with his support of the WWII Memorial on the Mall in D.C. Glad to here he's a loyal lefty.

21. First of all, there are hundreds of memorials to the veterans
of WWII. Second of all, the proposed memorial on the Mall grew to Leni Riefenstahl proportions, disrupting the sightlines along the Mall. The grassy areas of central D.C. open to the public are shrinking all the time, and the WWII Memorial, well intentioned as it may be, is just too big, too overblown, too fascistic to fit in well on the Mall. I was proud of Tom Hanks for supporting the causes of WWII vets, and disappointed in his approval of the design.

Please note, all of the above is merely my opinion. No flames, please.

26. Good for Tom!
Ive always like Hanks since his busom Buddies days..I think part of this is beacuse the right wing has been screeming about hollywood actors staying out of poltics then getting mushy over Arnie..Once agian the GOP has overplayed its hand

28. If the Democrats had to put up an actor candidate . . .
I think Tom Hanks would be the man to go with. He's kind of the Jimmy Stewart of today and America would feel very comfortable with a calm, pleasant, smart guy like him as a politician.
