"Kerry Has Double-Digit Lead in N.J."

WASHINGTON (AP) - John Kerry has reclaimed a healthy lead in Democratic-leaning New Jersey, where he holds a double-digit lead over President Bush, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday.

The poll, taken after the Democratic National Convention, found Kerry with the backing of 49 percent, Bush with 36 percent and independent Ralph Nader with 6 percent.

In a late June Quinnipiac poll, Kerry had 46 percent, Bush 40 percent and Nader 7 percent.

Democrat Al Gore won the state by 15.8 percentage points in 2000.

1. Good News
I had seen some polls recently that had it closer...This fits with the overall trend of Kerry shoring up his strong states while at the same time putting traditional "safe" Repub states into play...

3. John Fund said last night that it's too close to call
no more than a two point lead there

his phone number is listed on the internet; he lives in NJ, last time I checked

maybe he should be telephonically apprised of this poll

one could ask him if he's been in the ring with any women lately, while one is at it

7. I think Nader has as much as he has in NJ
because most people feel that Kerry will win NJ easily, so I guess people feel less guilty voting for Nader

9. They still shouldn't vote for Nader regardless.
I don't care if Kerry will get 70% of the vote, they shouldn't vote for a lying egomaniac like Nader.
