Didn't McCain do exactly what DU'ers suggested he do?
Am I dreaming or did I see a thread here yesterday that suggested that McCain should denounce the SwiftBoatVets ad and remind people of what happened to him in 2000 at the hands of the Bush henchmen? It seems that he has taken that advice. It's almost as if that DU poster wrote the script for him.
:-)

It's blm's board, the rest of us are just paying rent. We are not worthy!

5. LOL Is it throw a bone to the worst writer on the board day?
I must again say that I am sure McCain would have done it anyway. All those messages on his desk this morning from folks at DU just helped him do it sooner.

9. You are too modest!
It's one thing for us to rant on this board...it's entirely another when you make it easy for folks to act...you gave the blueprint and people followed it and I am sure it made a difference! We may all look back on this incident as a turning point in this campaign.

6. Wow! BLM gave names, addresses and phone numbers!
I don't think that this was just a coincidence...I'll bet he heard BLM and DU. That's power being used the right way.

3. I just wish he'd quit campaigning for L.L.F.
(Little Lord Fauntleroy). It's ok if McC cannot bring himself to fully endorse the Dem candidate, but why oh why would he allow himself to be used like that by someone who dragged his name through the mud 4 short years ago?

8. I'm convinced he or his family is under severe threats.
He knows how far they'll go and I think he knows how far he can push them without getting accidented.

13. I wonder about Zell in the same way, too.
His conversion to the darkside just seems to wierd given his support of Kerry just a few short years ago...

14. The Republican Party is about to implode.
The Bush bunch are going down in flames. McCain is positioning himself to be the heir to the leadership of the party. Loyal but principled. Neither a bomb thrower nor a Bush crony.

4. McCain is one of the few Repubs with some integrity
I don't see eye to eye with him on everything, and why he still backs Bush after all he did to him is a mystery...but he does show integrity which is more than I can say for most Repubs.

7. WOW! I don't think I've ever seen "Republican & Integrity" in the...

11. So I called McCain's office
just now, and asked his staffer to tell him "thank you very much for defending Senator Kerrry against the attacks being made by the Swift Boat veterans' organization".

It took less than one minute, and since I used my cell phone it didn't cost me a thing.
