Salary Entry: $102,684 - Max: $167,122 Annually

This is highly responsible executive level work in planning and directing activities of the Miami-Dade County Elections Department, whose primary mission is to ensure a fair and inclusive election process with a commitment to protecting the rights of voters. Responsibilities include planning, directing and supervising departmental operations and functions required for local, state and federal elections for a culturally diversified and multi-lingual population of over 2.2 million residents that include about one million registered voters and 754 precincts. The incumbent will exercise extensive independent judgment, project management skills and professional managerial knowledge in formulating departmental policies and directing the strategic and logistical needs of all election processes and departmental operations. Proven capability in public relations and communication, and proficiency in organizing and directing departmental activities and cross-departmental functional teams is required. This is a non-elected position that reports to the County Manager.

Bachelor’s degree. A minimum of seven to ten years of administrative experience is required with a preference for five years of experience in election strategic planning, execution and evaluation, voter registration, logistics and technology assessment and planning. Master of Business Administration, Public Administration or related field is preferred.
