What a surprise! CNN flogging the Evil Kerry Swift Boat Ad again.
Edited on Fri Aug-06-04 08:41 AM by Karmadillo
I suppose if I can get a few friends together to create an ad about Bush's cocaine use, his insider trading, his business failures, his efforts to have a young woman have an abortion, his use of terror alerts to blunt public criticism of his misrule, CNN would run it repeatedly and allow us to show up on air to discuss it.

1. And what about the job numbers? Is the ad still the big story?

2. Russert:"This is a direct blow to the Kerry campaign..."
Of course when asked about Kerry answering a QUESTION yesterday (applause cut out) on what he would have done in the elementary school Russert said:

"I can't believe that he would go in that direction"(something like that close quote).

3. There's a reason they're flogging it
Kerry has made his service in Vietnam central to his campaign, consequently any controversy about it is going to hit the news cycles hard.

In a similar vein, F911 is a counterpoint to Bush's campaigning on his "war on terror" and consequently the media spent time on that as well.
