Will wonders never cease??? |
|
I'm amazed. Yesterday, I posted (topic now locked) asking for help with an e-mail my father-in-law sent which contained a link to an anti-Kerry site. Please understand that dear f-i-l is a *staunch* Repub.
He sent another link today, and I e-mailed back, saying, "Please stop - I've already made up my mind as have you. I don't care to read disinformation."
To my utter amazement, here's his response:
"I am just teasing you a bit. Take no offense. I am not absolutely decided on my vote, yet, and I still strive to learn. I will not send you any more of this stuff, you are a busy lady and perhaps do not wish to waste your spare time reading all these infos."
It's the "I'm not absolutely decided" part of the e-mail that really amazes me, and gives me such HOPE for November! If HE feels this way, how many others might?

1. so take the time "busy lady" to read the stuff fil sends |
|
and then graciously, in love and teaching, show the error of the way in the said posts or sites. helping him to see the misinformation he is being fed. since he isnt quite in any camp and is trying to gather info

3. A similar thing happened to me with a supplier/friend. |

He sent an e-mail to our office with anti-Kerry rhetoric. I sent him info and link debunking the info.
His reply was to ask more questions about Kerry and to say he would share MY info with others.
