Employers are wary about hiring new people.
Aren't they the Republican base?

They don't believe their own shit.

1. They've figured out that they can get the work done with fewer
people. I don't think they will ever replace lost workers again - will just keep beating the mules they have.

2. Not all Employers are Republicans
and I really can't blame them for not hiring new people. Our economy is on a precipice, and many probably find it morally wrong to hire someone they may have to lay off in a few months.

3. Shouldn't they have to back up their propaganda with action?

4. What this economy needs is more tax cuts for the rich.
After all, a poor man never gave anyone a job. Rich people will invest their money and create jobs. That's why ever since the first Bush tax cut the economy has been on a roll.

6. I know one thing as an employer I will not hire anyone in the
National Guard or Reserves until a new policy is in place to keep them home where they belong. My business can not afford to hold a job position for an unspecified amount of time. Sorry but them's the facts.

7. My employer's a leftist.

And he's still saving money on attrition, not replacing folks who leave. It's not about any political slant in particular, it's about a financial cushion to keep the place open so that those of us who stay (and he himself, of course) can have jobs until things pick up again, at which time we can re-staff. It sucks to have to do more work, but reality's reality. He hates it -- you can see it on his face every day -- especially since HE'S personally had to take over the duties of some people who've left. He could have had a much higher salary to work pretty much anywhere, but he opened this business up to create jobs.

Of course, if I worked for a Repuke, I'd surely be singing a different tune.
