If every one began politcally with tabula rosa |
|
I would hope most people would be of the democratic party or of liberal ideology. It would find it curious if the republican raised members would still choose their party.

3. The elusive tabula rasa |
|
Don't believe it's possible. Political attitudes are formed in your upbringing.

I don't think many people could outright choose such a sinister party unless raised in it.

6. Everyone does begin with a tabula rasa |
|
but is influenced by parents and others as they mature. Not everyone votes the same as their parents did, of course.
But you're suggesting that any good person would be liberal and not conservative and that's a false premise.
Conservatives are not the problem; rather, the neo-cons and other thugs who have largely hijacked the Republican Party are the problem. The GOP is not supposed to be the party of evil.

did not GOP oppose FDR?
well, since we have a lot of road to cover to reach Utopia, it follows that any drag on progress to NEW ideas is evil. {if we are not yet at Utopia, why should we want to stop?}
Conservatism is such a drag.
people dying in usa, 7000/ month from homelessness... and for 200 yrs, a smaller amount... so any lack of progress, any conservatism, is murder.
In this gobble/starve society, take your eyes off the gobble on tv, and go ask the starve fraction, the homeless, how they feel about conserving old ideas.
PS people are born plastic-minded... rearing makes them democrats or evil. THere is no human nature apart from "reciprocity and the motherson incest taboo"... say anthropologists. They will accept throwing folks in south sea volcanoes if so taught.
