I though Kerry knew how to handle these John O Neil guys? |
|
They usually attack him in every election he runs in right?

sat out of quite a few Senate elections. O'Neill explained that he didn't really care that he was running for Senate, but now that he's running for President, it "bothers him."
What a turd.

3. It bothers me that John O'Neil thinks he can question Kerry's bravery |
|
What a prick, I think the real reason why O'Neil has it out for Kerry is not that Kerry saw through the bogusness of the war in Vietnam but because from what Ive heard, Kerry kicked his ass on the Dick Cavett show.

4. Apparently "handling" means sending out a press release? |
|
Very weak response from Kerry so far.

I have not watched the tv "news" since their coverage of the DNC convention, but I've read here that they are reporting this as fact?
Is that true?
What is the truth?
None of these guys actually served with Kerry right?

6. They weren't on his boat, but they were on boats that ran joint missions.. |
|
... I'm not sure the distinction is major... but they weren't right in the boat with him ever.
They are all bitter about his (mis-represented) protest, and they are making sh!t up to get back at him. Because they know that their bitching about his protesting the war will fall on deaf ears.
Their story is full of holes.
It's a good thing to have go on for a short while IMO, but if it drags out it will distract from the real issues.
I expect it to run up until the book release and then backfire when they have nothing but their testimony... which is contradicted by his military record and their own statements.

7. I saw the portion of the Dick Cavett show |
|
that had O'Neill and Kerry on. O'Neill ranted about how Kerry was not telling the truth about the war crimes he testified about, then Kerry asked him if he (O'Neill) had ever participated in one of those..I think they were called free fire zones..and O'Neill said "Of course I did" and then Kerry reminded him it was illegal to do it. Kerry embarrassed him on national t.v. That might be part of the reason O'Neill wants to take Kerry down.

I saw it too.
That's what all this is about.
It's about Kerry humiliating him on national TV, and his war protesting.
