stiff penalties for anyone piloting commercial transportaion and any other job that harm others. In other words drug tests. Not a popular position but I don't want the guy flying my plane listening to Snoop Dog and fumbling for his bong.

with the same restrictions as alcohol. I have never liked pot, but I have nothing against those who do.

3. Should be 100% legal to posess, but illegal to sell, IMHO |

I'd rather not see what the tobacco companies would do to marijuana, thank you very much.

I went over and checked out the website that you listed and read a post or two by "Bull" and IMO, Bull is as full of shit as a Christmas turkey. His "facts" aren't facts but are instead either distortions or in some cases, total fabrications. For example, he happily chirped about Kerry and Edwards being "liberals" (which I wish they were more so but that is another discussion), Bull spewing the RNC talking points, accepting them wholeheartedly without ever apparently checking them out for himself.
In that one tiny-teeny example, he outs himself as a fraud, a piker, a purveyor of falsehood, and, I suspect, a dittorhead or freeper.
So why bother reading his crap? Skip his posts or just hang out here. You will learn much, much more.
BTW, on edit, the herb? It should be legalized.

One of the big beefs from the anti-pot people is that they fear it being sold at "7-Eleven". I say no mass commercial growing. Make commercial growing, for recreational use, illegal. Didn't we learn our lesson with alcohol and tobacco?
Allow for growing of 2 or 3 plants, transporting of 1 ounce, and allow for a barter system(21 years of age and older). All DUI and safety laws apply.
Industrial hemp growing should be legalized immediately.

It should be grown by people who are licensed to do so & taxed. The DEA/ATF would be relegated to inspections for tax purposes. Just as Americans grew their own food during the colonial times, some people could grow pot to infuse money into the economy lost from outsourcing.
Not everyone wants to spend time growing high-quality plants.

hemp(marijuana) grown for industrial use would more than fill the tax issue.

.. the testing...
.. because.. even though. I Know.. and maybe you know too.. (and so do most.. ) that.. being a lil Stoned.. isn't gonna make you run people over.. and shoot your neighbor..
.. how do you test someone for being stoned?
a urine test.. only tests for metabolites(i think i got that right?) .. it will tell u.. if that person smoked pot last week.. last couple of weeks.. etc...
but.. it will not prove that the person was under the influence of marijuana .. at the time of the test... .. urine tests- in relation to Marijuana.... should be completely Banned from any activity.. be it.. job.. accident...or whatever.. i can get completely wasted on jim beam.. .. and then next day.. only test positive for POT?..
.. this means.. if.. someone is expecting Random tests for work.. or to gain employment or probation..or military..whatever..
they will move on to drugs that will clear their system within a day or so.. LSD- coke.. etc..
too many points..... i think i could keep going on... and on...

my position is this: no one, NO ONE, has the right or the authority to dictate to me what I smoke in the privacy of my home. If I want to smoke mouse turds (ugh!), no one has a right to tell me otherwise. The political authorities overstepped their authorities and the Founders would be appalled at their abuse of power.
Fuck the arbitrary, capricious, and in many cases, bought-and-paid-for expression of opinion that carries the force of a legitimate law, even if it isn't.
Fuck them and the horses they rode in on. Fuck Bush, Asscrack, and all of their minions. They can toss my salad with a little shit dressing on the side.
