Clinton says Iraq was "number five security threat" |
|
"Why did we put our number one security threat in the hands of the Pakistanis with us playing the supporting role and put all our military resources into Iraq which was I think at best our number five security threat?" Clinton said in an interview with CBC television. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/20040805/pl_afp/canada_us_iraq_clinton

is that Iraq was as high as number 5. A third-rate, third-world country that posed no threat to anyone.

2. Iraq has never done a thing to america |
|
And as the futile WMD search showed, they didn't even have the capability. I don't think history will be kind to america over this war. Then again - history is written by the victors.

"How did we get to the point where we have 130,000 troops in Iraq and 15,000 in Afghanistan?"
The Russians dumped tons of troops into the mountains of Afghanistan, and that didn't work out so well. Although I agree with his overall points (especially North Korea), more troops in Afghanistan would have been a big mistake.
