Burce Springsteen Likes John Kerry.
Bruce Springsteen said that he likes John Kerry and John Edwards during an interview with Ted Koppel broadcast on "Nightline," last week.

Springsteen is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist famous for rock songs such as "Born in the USA."

Explaining his plan to go on tour to support John Kerry, Springsteen told Koppel that George W. Bush has "eroded trust in a large segment of American voters...we need somebody else in there to try and regain some of our stature internationally. I think we need a new face."

1. A fact that has greatly upset our great Governor Tim Pawlenty.
But I love it that Springsteen likes Kerry, and the fact that this bothers Pawlenty makes it that much better. Pawlenty is a weasel and a tool.

5. I found an article about Tim Pawleny, MN Governor on this.
excerpt:
Pawlenty "Heartbroken" Over Springsteen's Concert Plans

Aug 6, 2004 9:46 am US/Central
Minneapolis (AP) Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty said he's "heartbroken" that Bruce Springsteen is planning to rock against President Bush.

Opening his weekly radio show Friday with "Born to Run," the 43-year-old Pawlenty called Springsteen one of his musical idols.

"I really appreciate his music, but I wish he wouldn't interject his music with politics," said Pawlenty, who co-chairs Bush's re-election campaign in Minnesota.

I'd prefer if Governor Pawlenty stayed out of federal politics, or even that he resigned and stayed out of state politics, but you can't alwsys get what you want.

7. No kidding
I went to the Kerry/Edwards rally in Kansas City Friday night. The candidates were late, but we were entertained with quite a selection of Springsteen tunes. I'm a big fan of the boss's so I loved it. I think "No defeat No surrender" is my new favorite tune.
