I work with some former Marines. One of them made some sort of crack about JK and cited that phoney Doctor that lied about treating Kerry in Nam. I shot that one down with a combination of truth and John McCain. He then bragged about how the Chimp didn't mess around with Nuance and was the kind of guy that always sticks to his position, to which I replied: "you just said, in weasel words, that the President is stubborn and stupid." He left the room to a chorus of laughter.

He was going on about Kerry serving only 4 months while he served 4 years in the marines.

I let him finish, then I hit him with Kerry's records from his website showing service in the Navy from 1966 to 1970, including one full-term on a navy boat in the war zone, and 4 months on a swift boat in-country. 1966-1970 looks like 4 years in my book.

Then I ended with "Kerry got 3 purple hearts and a silver star in his 4 months on a swift boat. You fired howitzers killing rabbits and Cacti in the California Desert. You wanna compare THAT to Kerry? Or should we stick to bush and his TANG duties and being AWOL?"

Silence, a dirty look, and so I left his office...
