Freepers in the Movies
Forget about right-wing actors such as Tom Selleck, Bruce Willis, and Charleton Heston, the general population of Freepers have contributed much to the cinema arts.
Remember the zombies in Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, and all the sequels since? Freepers.
How about the klan members in Mississippi Burning? Yep, Freepers.
Here are a few other examples of Freepers in the movies:
Titanic: Freepers played the role of the men who got into the lifeboats and a few lucky Freepers played the security personnel tasked with keeping the poor third-class passengers locked below decks.
Philidelphia: Remember the law firm that fired Tom Hanks because they found out he was gay and had aids? Freepers!
Birth of a Nation: Just about everyone in this movie was a Freeper.
But probably the two movies most associated with Freepers are Ghost and Deliverance. In both these movies, Freepers were cast in roles that required little "acting". In Ghost, Freepers fell easily into the role of the dark spirits who whisked bad souls to hell. And in Deliverance? I'm pretty sure you know what role they played...
Join me tomorrow when I expose Freepers in literature!

And the list keeps growing and growing...I wonder if Freepers belong to the actors union?

4. I've been saying something like this for years! |
|
Heroes (in film and literature) always demonstrate Democratic ideals, and the villains always demonstrate Republican ideals:
It's A Wonderful Life: George Bailey (Dem) v Old Man Potter (GOP)
The Scarlet Letter: Hester Prynne (Dem) v The Church/Townspeople (GOP)
Our heroes have always been Democrats!

6. Here's some for you... |
|
The Time Machine: Morlocks=Freepers, Eloi=Downtrodden liberals until they fight back and kick some ass
The Lost World: InGen Mercenaries=Freepers, Ian Malcolm's team=libs
Animal House Omega Fraternity= Freepers, Animal House=libs
Starship Troopers: Pretty much both the humans and the bugs in this movie are freepers
Psycho: Norman Bates is the quintessential, archetypal freeper. Complex parental and sexual issues resulting in mass murder. Same is true with Leatherface.

43. Yes the Slytherins do represent Freepers as to |
|
the Dursley's. Fat,greedy, celebrating Dudley's ignorance and bullying ways, hypocritical and cruel. The Slytherins are the extreme right wingers that gain control. Racist, power hungry, treading on the little people, represive, elitist, secretive and creep into every part of the Magical world.
Also... Drop Dead Gorgous - loads of Freepers, the Lutherian Gun club etc

And of course there's the Green Goblin in Spiderman....
Although I wouldn't count Dr. Octopus as a Freeper...there was a redemptive quality about him in the end...Certainly not a Freeper value.
I should post here the ultimate Freepers in movies:
GW, Cheney, Condi, Ashcroft, and the rest of the Bush Admin in the movie:

20. The entire town of Hadleyville in "High Noon": Freeper! |
|
Not a damned soul would help Marshal Will Kane (Gary Cooper) face down the evil guys who were a-comin' into town on the noon train. In fact, many of the townspeople were talking up the bad guys, and were getting ready to roll over for them.
In an unrelated note: "Ben-Hur" character Messala: Freeper!

The Mayor of Pleasantville....
That whole movie is really about Freepers becoming democrats. They are heavily conservative and only see things in black and white...While democrats know that many issues are more complex than that -- think of this the next time someone criticizes John Kerry for being nuanced.
on edit: spelling...

A CLOCKWORK ORANGE: The Droogs. And for that matter, the doctors who administer the Ludovico Treatment to Alex.
CROCODILE DUNDEE: The female lead's boyfriend.
FROM DUSK TO DAWN: The vampires.
THE GRIFTERS: The three lead characters (played by Anjelica Huston, John Cusack, and Annette Bening).
LAST EXIT TO BROOKLYN: Almost the entire cast! That film was chock full of scummy characters who were violent, selfish, mean-spirited, ignorant, and entirely beyond redemption.
RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD, PART 2. The title character, of course!
TIN MEN: The two lead characters (played by Danny DeVito and Richard Dreyfuss).

Christopher Moltisanti. In a recent episode he said to his fiance ""You don't listen to the president? We're gonna mop up the Middle East. The whole world's gonna be under our control. You got nothin' to worry about."
He's one of the most sociopathic characters on the show, by the way.
