Interviewed one young woman who was visited, and showed a few protesters - all young and "hooligan" - looking, imho. The images seemed to suggest all protesters were college kids or something. This stood out to me particularly because I had just called my mom to tel her to catch this piece, and as I watched it, I knew what her impression would be - "well they're just a bunch of liberal college kids." I'll be hearing that shortly.
Anyway, the report basically said that the FBI was indeed visiting people who had protested (or been otherwise politically active?) and that the FBI justified this because they had "credible evidence" that the conventions were targeted (remember the "threat" to media at Boston?). Then they showed an ACLU spokesperson who said this is clear intimidation, and that not only was the FBI visiting potential protesters, but they had also infiltrated many politically active groups.
It lasted maybe three minutes.
They hate us for our freedoms.

2. CNN is covering this fairly well |
|
I saw a piece on Headline News last night on this subject - they interviewed a young woman who is a peace activist who had FBI agents show up at her door recently.
Apparently, they badgered her to give up the names of people within the peace movement who are about to engage in what they deemed 'criminal activity'. The girl refused to answer any of their questions. She said they were completely hostile and intimidating.
Life in Imperial America.

Or something else to cover your face.
It could get ugly in NYC.
All the real news will be outside.
