Saudi government radio ads deny post-9/11 "Bin Laden family flight" |
|
It's on CNN right now, sorry...no URL (5:20 AM Pacific Time, 8/18/04). The crawl at the bottom of the screen reads "Saudi Spin," refering to radio sports that will run through early September in an attempt to separate the Saudi government from "The War On Terror."
CNN is playing the radio spots prepared by the Saudi royal embassy, focusing on two points, citing the 9/11 Commission Report:
1). No evidence that Saudi government financed Al Qaeda
2). No evidence that Saudis flown out of U.S. before post-9/11 "flight ban" lifted (DESPITE the presence of a valid flight manifest, which has been posted here on DU).
I'm sure details will follow, hopefully on the CNN Web Site.

1. I was watching CNN when that came on. |

How desperate can Bush be? The Saudi Royal family could not care less about how the American publc feels about them. This is an, oh so obvious attempt to boost Smirks numbers. Pathetic
