Sure he's facing up to his party's short comings now. But that's only because he's retiring. If he was still running for office, we wouldn't have heard a word from him on this.
How many more Republicans are out there that will blindly support this administration, knowing how wrong it is? They should have their say now and not years later when it won't make a difference.

They rubber stamp whatever they are told by the Bush/RNC organization. Those that question are isolated, threatened, and marked for defeat. They have allowed this criminal administration to anything it pleases without holding them accountable. There's no vision or moderation from this Party....just war profiteering, financial paybacks to their backers, and a complete disregard for the welfare of the American people.
It's catching up with them, though. If not this election cycle, then by 2006. And once they are exposed and entirely repudiated, Republicanism will be consigned to the trashbin of American political parties.
