What Are We As DU Doing To Win This Election?

1. one of the biggest things is providing a sense of community

so that we know we aren't fighting the fight alone. We're being directed to great facts and opinions out there in the blogoshpere, print media, and elsewhere which helps us hone our arguments/discussions with family, friends, neighbors (and coworkers if we dare).

all of this is creating more votes for Kerry a few at a time. On top of that, as each of us sees others get involved it inspires some of us to do more to organize proceedings on local level to monitor elections, work in precincts to see that voting happens correctly and people aren't disenfranchised.

We rally $$$ that go to Kerry. He needed a lot and got a lot from the internet. We rally even more $$$ to moveon and others which goes to winning more hearts and minds.

That's a few things. Got any more?

Speaking from Dallas I know of lots of DU'ers involved in all kinds of ways. And just from being here at DU I know of many others in other states working just as hard.

4. I use DU as a research tool, manual, and collaborative writing workshop.

Whenever I want to do something but I don't know what or how, I come to DU for advice on DIY activism. (As opposed to Shrub's DUI activism.)

Consider spending as much time posting on other forums, contacting the media, etc., as we do here.
