7. The most easily led supporters never see Bush as he really is |
|
They only see carefully edited and trimmed sound bytes. Interestingly enough, these little bits are never longer than five seconds. This is because Bush can't go more than five seconds without sounding like a complete jackass and a total idiot.

You know, "C'mon, you can answer this..." as I would wish for anyone trying to answer a question that's got him stumped. And then I remember - this is the LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD, for God's sake! What a MORON!!! If we re-elect this guy, we don't deserve to have any meaningful leadership in the world in the 21st Century.

13. moveon.org......it's time to go with clips like this, almost exclusively |
|
think how cheap it would be, how easy
they'd BETTER use the McCain clip...the one from the web
I'm getting really SICK of the namby pamby responses of the surrogates, too
WHEN are they going to realize that EVERY time a pug answers a question, they DO NOT accept the premise, and turn it to an attack?????
when are the DEMS going to start doing this, too, instead of stuttering and stammerin, unable to come up with responses to seemingly specific charges, for which there are usually no answers, cause they're founded upon LIES?
WHEN are they going to wise up?

16. Having broken my heart in Indian affairs for the past six years... |
|
...I can tell you that the President's response in that clip is a perfect summation of his actual policy for Indian tribes.
I wish it weren't true, but the management of federal Indian policy is actually one of the purest examples of how personal ignorance on the part of the President gets translated into total incompetence in federal management.
Americans in general care fuck-all about American Indians, so I have a theory that they are the perfect canary in the Presidential coalmine. When a President is managing the federal government extremely well, problems are getting solved in Indian Country, even though most Americans do not understand or care about the problems. When a President is neglectful, vengeful, partisan, manipulative and/or ignorant, we get exactly what we have today.
The Indian canary went into a coma on virtually the same day that President Bush took office. Since I've seen this firsthand, I know that the air in the government coalmine is foul.
You just have the EPA people to prove the metaphor.

20. KPFT has a great 'People of Earth' show once a week.. |
|
which discusses many issues, such as the missing trust funds, sovereignty, land rights protection. And it has great music.
From 10:30 am until noon, on Thursdays, you can listen on kpft.org. Also the last few shows (one month's worth of programs) are archived and can be downloaded at anytime from kpftx.org.
'People of Earth' has 'opened my ears'..my heart has always been open but there's so little information in the media that Native Americans are too easily 'out-of-sight, out-of-mind'.

Yea I love this one. It's the clip that got my rights to post revoked at FreeRepublic. It's right up there with the "fool me once" clip and the one from the 2000 election when the reporter from Boston was asking him some tough questions, like the names of some foreign leaders.
