I haven't heard any repugs complaining about Jimmy Buffett

Jimmy Buffett played in the Hamptons this weekend at a fund-raiser for John Kerry. The repugs have been strangely silent about this. Could it be that too many of them are parrot heads to admit that their guy is a Democrat?

Fair is fair. If Bruce Springsteen is a bad guy because he's supporting Kerry then what gives with Buffett? I understand that rednecks love him (hey, I'm from the south myself and I like Buffett) and many rednecks are right-wingers but just 'cause you like the guy shouldn't make it different.

According to USA Today --

Kerry, for his part, assured the crowd, "We're going to go at them."

"It is because in the last months they have seen me climbing in America's understanding that I know how to fight a smarter and more effective war (on terror)," Kerry said. "That's why they're trying to attack. That's why they're attacking my credibility. That's why they've personally gone after me."

Talk of politics and war gave way to music, and Kerry joined the band and played guitar as Buffett sang "Brown Eyed Girl."

"A guitar-playing president. I like that," Buffett said.

3. Parrot Heads

Long time parrot head here, Buffett is pretty good at this, he tried this for our (Alabama) last Governor. He says what he thinks about the democrat and keeps his mouth shut on what he thinks of the opposition, pretty simple concept. A lot of the Hollywood set could learn from him. Most people don't know it but Toby Keith is a democrat as well.
