I have an offer for the Wealthy who pay taxes.
If paying 50 % taxes on a million dollars is too much for you. I will gladly trade you my 35 K where I pay about 35 % in taxes. I think it is a fair trade.

2. You lucky ducky!
I once asked a couple republican friends, who were griping about how progressive taxation supposedly takes away people's motivation to succeed, whether or not they had ever turned down a raise because it put them in a higher tax bracket.

I got no response. But I'm sure that cognitive dissonance set in, and their brains forgot that I ever posed the question.

4. You are paying much more then 35%
If you consider all the flat taxes... sales tax, fuel tax, utility taxes and the impact other taxes that you indirectly pay then under your scenario of 50% / 35% you would be paying a higher percent of your income in taxes at a marginal rate of 35% on 35 K then someone paying 50% on a million dollars..

This was the rationale behind the marginal tax rates....

But of course we all know that consumers with more money in their pockets don't create jobs but rather millionaires with more money to invest in foreign markets do..

5. Did you mean to post this on DU?
Or a freeper thread. I don't think many here can help you out. Those that can don't gripe about their share of taxes. (At least I don't think so, but am certainly no expert.)

Good luck and let us know if you get a bite on this.
