Which Chris Matthews will show up tonight on Hardball?
Pissed and at his best or back to the old shill game? Has he been up all weekend getting ready to go off, or has he received his share of death threats and ready to say he was too hard on Michelle Maulkin and offer an apology?

3. But he doesn't like to be "wrong"
I was hoping he'd have Rood on as a surprise guest.

2. I have to say that I thought it was funny that he took Friday off
Very rare for him to take a single day off. I think they took him off and had a talk with him and said that they could not go back on air until he backed Bush. I'd bet on it.

5. Could I get a blow by blow?
Unfortunately I'm working tonight and won't be able to see Tweety in action. I heard he's still going after the Swift Liars and Malkin. I hope so. Last Thursday was Matthew's finest moment. I hope he doesn't squander it.

6. my guess...
he'll focus on Kerry's failure to handle it properly, and downplay Bush's role.

7. I bet he digs his heels in.
As far as journalists go, Tweety is pretty much a big pile of contrarian shit.

But as far as stubborn SOBs go, though, he's at the top of the heap.

I don't expect him to play Rove's game. I bet he comes out swinging. His basic contention last week was the Swiftvets were a lying bunch of thugs.

Developments over the past few days have only supported his position.

Why would he back away now that he has even more evidence?

Plus, Tweety is above all else a ratings whore. If he senses he can push his audience to the 1 million mark just by being a steady thorn in the administration's side, he'd knock over his own mother in the process.

There appears to be no official document yet released for the two ribbons worn by George Bush in this picture circulating on the web. They are the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, and the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship ribbon. Missing is the Texas State Guard Service Medal awarded to just about anyone who just showed up for three years straight.

10. Kerry's 1970s testimony before the Congressional committee?
Sweet, if that's so.

12. Maybe not the whole thing,
but enough so that the original context of Kerry's statements were clear.

Now Tweety's smashing Bob Dole. Looks like he's been reading Bob Sommerby recently.

11. F-ing Buchanan was never in Viet Nam
How dare he say that he knew what was going on and that our men were never lighting up villages.

Tweety sat and let me lie about it. :grr:

13. I wonder if he ever heard the phrase "we had to destroy the village to
save it.

The repubs are rewriting history to suit their intents.
