My BS Meter Just Redlined
From MSNBC:

"British officials have insisted that the Bush administration has never been provided with the intelligence that was the basis for the charge included in the Blair government’s September intelligence dossier."

So even assuming this is true (which I doubt)...why the fuck DIDN'T our British best buds tell us what the basis for the charge was?

This doesn't pass the smell test.

DTH

1. Who do you doubt- the Brits, the U.S. or both?
Just curious. I doubt all of them.

3. There's at least one report...
... from the Guardian, I believe, which stated that the information used by Tony Blair in very early September (and which was repeated by Bush in the week of Sept. 6, 2002 as coming from the British) actually came from the U.S.

This is nothing more than spin to protect the Bushies. When the British people figure out that Blair's (or Bliar, as the Economist has called him in one headline) loyalties are to Bush, rather than the British, all hell is going to break loose.

Statements such as this will likely be interpreted precisely that way in the non-Murdoch British press very shortly.

Cheers.
