So tempting at our all staff meeting
Our head was pointing out that, due to the nature of the economy in Ohio, we (as a county agency) are facing a likely 2 percent cut in funding (YAY! According to boss, it could be worse - btw, the YAY was sarcastic).

I was sooooo tempted (since my Bush-loving co-worker was also in attendanc) to state "But George Bush says that the economy is going well!"

Good thing I kept my mouth shut. I suspect the big boss is a DINO.

1. This is what is happening in my husbands office...
Last week I took my kids to meet Barak Obama and they had their picture taken with him (non sarcastic YAY!). My husband took the picture to his office and every morning when he goes into work, it is laying face down. He is starting to get pissed off about it. I told him to leave a note by the picture when he leaves work that says something terrible about Keyes and ask if this person is honestly going to vote for that loser.

My brother ripped up an Obama sticker and called it garbage and my uncle and I were astounded and asked him if he was seriously stupid enough to vote for Keyes. Of course, he didn't answer. If Illinois republicans are going to tow the line to that extreme then they deserve the downfall of their party in this state.

2. Actually, my co-worker is one of the few RW types there
and yet his only son is away at college. Is old enough to enlist.

Several of my left-leaning co-workers have kids or relatives over in Iraq.

Thankfully one's son is back from there and they're trying to get him back, but they've lost his paperwork.

Our security guard told me about his son saying something to the effect of (but not actually using the terms) that now a "cluster fuck" would be more acceptable to what's really happening in Iraq.
