GET OUT THE VOTE!
This election depends on us getting our voters to the polls. Our local party organization are often insane but we all have to do our part on election day. Most organizers are starting to get their lists for election day so please volunteer.

What are you doing????

2. i spent all morning GOTV in Phoenix
the Kerry campaign is going precinct by precinct hitting the "lazy" dems (those who have missed other general elections) and getting them to fill out mail in early ballot requests. We send them in and then will call them to make sure they fill it out and return their ballots

(also got to register a couple Kerry voters too :)

3. Registering, Talking, Phonebanking
I'm doing a little of everything. Have volunteered a couple of hours down at the Richard Morrison HQ (www.morrisonfor22.com -- he's opposing Tom DeLay!) and I've also hooked up with a couple of the local dem groups here in my area of Houston. Went registering people with one group and am making calls for the other.

And I carry my registration book everywhere. Have registered 7 friends.

I want to mention that up until this year I've done little more than just vote. Anyone else?

4. Thank you. My Husband I live in NH and have been canvassing
every weekend. Not 'cuz it's fun (although it actually is) but we are the only ones that are there every week and we are in a Swing state (NH). Thanks to all the Mass. Volunteers who come every week, but PLEASE, if you haven't volunteered yet, start. If you are not in a swing state, go to one. Go the John Kerry website and volunteer. Some of the volunteer work can even be done from your home. Please help. You'll also meet some incredibly nice people and won't have to worry about saying you like Kerry 'cuz they do too.

11. Well, I've been canvassing. It's been all right
except for the rude freeper who told me to get off his property today.
:-( It's a good thing we aren't vindictive as a demographic. I was seriously tempted to post his name, address and phone number on the internet, but I won't.

But seriously, any lurking freepers, if you have changed addresses since the last election, please know that we precinct walkers are only ringing doorbells of people on the democratic registration rolls. If we have made a mistake, a polite "I'm a Republican" will send me on my way. I am not interested in debating you unless you ask me a question. So please, a little civility.
