Bush and Rove are planning for a Thousand Year Reign. |
|
Look at what they have accomplished and what they intend to do in the next---? years.
1.They have created a pervasive sense of external danger. 2.They have used this danger to gain complete control of all three branches of government. 3.They have transferred wealth from the middle and lower classes to the wealthier classes gaining their loyalty and financial support. More importantly, they have denied acces to financial support to the Democratic opposition. 4.They have managed to muzzle the Press and gained unprecendented access to the media.
In the next few years, I am afraid they are going to complete their agenda by the deliberate impoverishment of the middle class and the intelligensia that forms the core of their opposition.By nature, the middle class favors stability and is not likely to make waves even when squeezed to the bone by the usurious economic policies of this cabal. The Bush administration is seeking to replicate the climate of fear in the economic sphere that it has successfully created in the military sphere by its negligence to the terror attacks. When these pervasive economic and military dangers take hold, their grip on power will be complete. No amount of spouting about our Constitution or its Bill of Rights will make the people go against their "saviors"

1. they are not smart enough to pull this off |
|

3. I hope you are right. As a family man struggling to take care of my |
|
children's needs,I have to say it will be very difficult for people in my postion to do anything that jeopardizes our economic security.I guess you can say that Bush and Rove are counting on our silence and inaction to achieve their ends.

I believe they are counting on their own electoral corruption, the apathy and silence of the majority of Americans (not including us), and the bigotry, greed, intolerance, ignorance and brainwashed zealotry of their base to counter our action and keep the "election" close enough to steal again.

5. I think they are smart enough to give it a good try, |
|
and their efforts have diminished our civil rights significantly.
Rove's vision for America includes a one party system, characterized by a weak, non-effective second party, only for show. How do they neutralize the Dem Party? Attack unions, whose financial contributions to the Dem Party are huge. Attack trial lawyers, again, whose financial contributions to the Dem Party are huge. Attract the Jewish support whose support/contributions to the Dem Party has been huge. Does anyone doubt that these 3 goals have been implemented during the past 4 years??? Does anyone doubt that America itself it moving from being a country of individual citizens to an America owned and controlled by corporations? Does anyone doubt that the corporations themselves buy and pay for the repug party?

11. something that does confuse me, though |
|
is, assume a repug win this year; assume Rudy or McCain as Pres in 2008. Those 2 are certain to undo parts of Rove's plan, they are too moderate. Will Rove just go quietly into the night after bu$s retires? Aren't McCain and Rudy too smart to be controlled by him? What will Rove do then? I've asked about this scenario before on DU, but no one wants to comment, and I really don't know.

12. In order for McCain or Rudy to gain power, they will need to tap |
|
into the same Rightwing money machine at the disposal of Bush-Cheney and Rumsfeld. That is the real power source in this country.
