I think Geraldo is about to die live on Fox News-LIVE! |
|
Edited on Sat Sep-04-04 01:01 PM by underpants
Seriously a few minutes ago it looked like he was going to get blow into the intercoastal waterway. He was leaned over at about a 45 degree angle and one gust was so hard we went over to about 60 degrees to not get blow away. He has a tether line attached to him but it got disconnected and a tech guy had to run in to reattach him.
Shepherd Smith went to commercial almost laughing saying ~"Geraldo might get blow away, stay tuned you never know what might happen....you don't want to miss it"
They came back from commercial to a guy in Ft.Lauderdale and the reporter showed his little handheld thingy that the wind was at 24 MPH then he picked up a coconut that had been blown onto the beach and remarked that it weighs 3-5 pounds and that it could hurt in high winds........he then tossed it back on the sand UP WIND of where he was standing.
The female reporter just lost her shoe.
So IF Geraldo does go in the water-DO you rush to save him or get the film footage first?

4. I think it is like a public service that they keep him employed |
|
My brother was on the phone and said that it would be a public service if they let him get blown away. We were joking on the whole thing over the phone.
God that was funny. Still ongoing.

I can still see his lips telling big times lies in Iraq. He must have gotten a million $$'s for his performance in the war's Shock and Awe.
Would you like me to rescue you Geraldo? I live in Los Angeles, I'll throw you a rope from here!

12. I often wonder how reporters get chosen for hurricane coverage.. |
|
..Or war coverage. Do they insure the hell out of them and hope for the best?(collecting on the policy)
Geraldo drawing in the sand: "We're about here...and Frances is located here, moving to the Northwest at about 10mph."
"Oops I did it again, didn't I?"

15. Minority reporters are taking the wind fighters..huuum |
|
I know that Geraldo doesn't think he is a minority but he is one. I just happened to switch channels and on three of the channels, the reporters that were bravely close to the eye of the storm were African American.
Al Roker was flapping in the wind, he should not have been out there! No one should have been that close to danger.
On CNN, a black male reporter was risking his life in the terrible wind. He should not have been out there. As much as I dislike her, even Judy Woodruff should not have been out there.
I flipped to Fox News and surprise, surprise! A female African American was standing on top of a huge tree. She should not have been out there!
I ask you, where were the African American reporters during the Shock and Awe,riding with soldiers and reporting what they were seeing? I NEVER saw ONE African American reporter during the entire time. Did they not trust us to tell the truth or is that the problem. Huum, maybe we can tell the truth in a storm but not in their dirty little war.

45. The whole "low man on the totem pole" thing has been turned upside down |
|
Usually it is the newest guy/girl that they send out there but NBC sent Brian Williams (heir to the Brokaw anchor chair) out again, Roker, and CBS had Rather out getting beaten about the head and shoulders last night.
Williams should know better-remember him getting blown down the street during Isabelle last September?

and laugh about pigboys mansion being in the way of Frances. We just had one locked because "hurricanes aren't funny" though no one said they were. Rush's mansion in its path IS funny. The costs of repairing his mansion is not a tragedy...as though it will hurt him financially? good fuck'n christ.

I notice the rest of the news outlets aren't reporting from that close to the hurricane. I'm not so worried about Geraldo as I am the crew that is probably forced to be there with him covering his stunts.

38. No, No, No. You can't hurry important decisions. |
|
First, sit down and stare into space for seven minutes to clear the mind.
Second, spend the rest of the day running from spider hole to spider hole to "get out of harm's way."
Third, find some way to connect this to Iraq or Bill Clinton.
Fourth, call a press conference to explain that you take full responsibility, but that this is all someone else's fault, and thank god the Democrats are not not in charge.
Fifth, pay off some shadowy operatives to tell a bunch of lies about Giraldo connecting him to Al Qaeda. Pay them to sign phony affidavits testifying that America is safer with Giraldo dead.
Sixth, take credit for rescuing America from that terrorist who was attacking America before you drowned him.
seventh, send faxes of the heroic talking points to your lap dogs in the media to repeat millions of times to the hypnotized American public.
