Just watched part 2 of "The Corporation"
I reccomend this documentary for everyone here. It's amazing how much influence corporations have - think the Communist Party in the USSR and youo're not even close.

The whole idea that corporations now own the very genes that you are made of is especially frustrating...

Anyone else see this?

2. It is chilling - I'm watching a TV Ontario tape split into three parts
One of the joys of Kazaa...(oh don't worry, I already sent them money on their website :) )

3. I remember a time when...
we were called citisens and not consumers... ain't that far back. Citisens are connected to government, consumers to corporations.

Distinctly recall being disgusted by that word - consumer. Makes me think of gluttony. and, voila, that's us generally. Gluttoness pigs consuming way more than our share of the worlds resources.

5. To think that Richard Blum has an indirect tie to this.
http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/news/assignment7/011904_assign7_contracts.html

<snip>Among the smaller less known Iraq contracts is one for half a billion dollars that was awarded to Perini Corporation, controlled by a group of investors including Richard Blum, the husband of Senator Dianne Feinstein. <snip>

I hate to pick on our own, but when they are as corrupt as The Family, we have to keep ourselves honest.
