Liberal Radio in SAN DIEGO??? |
|
You'd think I would've heard about it by now. Apparently we're one of AA's newest affiliates. 1360 AM.
Who knew?

The CITY of San Diego is liberal.......the COUNTY of San Diego is not (per Union Trib).
Go figure!

2. Hey didn't know that either... |

although it makes perfect sense. Dumbasses in the sticks usually vote Republican. Do you have a link to the U-T article?

9. Sorry, no link, but.... |
|
when you think about it, the City consists of beach communities (OB, PB for example), universities and minorities which tend to be liberal.
The political difference between City and County was just a one-line blurb in an article that stuck with me because I thought ALL of SoCa was a bastion of Republicanism.

I looked real quick but couldn't find it (couldn't remember what article it was in and was searching through "Politics".) Thanks for the validation.

3. Don't believe it. San Diego is as right wing brain dead as they come |
|
The Union-Tribune is hardly a worthy source of news. Their head is buried so far up the GOPs butt, they haven't seen the sky in decades.

That explains why I'm seeing Kerry stickers over Bush stickers 4-1 whenever I go out driving.

The dense population areas of the city are liberal.

15. I have literally seen ONE Kerry sticker. And it's on the car of |
|
a neighbor across the street. And they just moved here. Have no idea where they came from.

14. Can I get an 'Amen' from our fellow San Diegans for this statement? |

I can't even read it anymore. My blood just boils. They need to rename the paper. All Bush, All The Time. :puke:

20. The Union Tribune is a RW rag! |
|
All repig BS and advertisments. And a shitty sports section to boot. I quit reading it when the papers merged and Neil Morgan was castrated.

21. Hillcrest, OB, the minority neighborhoods south on I-8 |
|
Southeast SD, City Heights, North Park, Encanto, East SD, Normal Heights, all Liberal areas. East county is racist ditto-head, and north county is being run by the fundies.

LOL - isn't that a bit of a sweeping statement? I know some non-fundy North County'ers...

And for once, I can actually get a station I want to listen to. Usually the AM stations do not come in very well where I live. But I can hear AA just fine! :)

17. Yep. Its a Clear Channel station |
|
and they changed the call letters from KPOP to KLSD. What a trip, huh?
Seriously, since the LA station went off, I've been listening to this station as often as I can, but I have trouble getting it through all the static (North OC - Long Beach Area). I can hardly wait for the LA station (again).

You'd be surprised at how many closet liberals are down here. This might get them to come out.
