Anybody see Lou Dobbs tonight? |
|
They had a substitute for him, and she had Schneider and a person from Newsweek showing how well bush is doing.
They did not mention any other polls, said Kerry was losing on all the issues
Look what CNN has become...

|
they have totally fucked up NPR and PBS is sucking awful lately, I think they are trying to kill it on purpose. They two reality shows they had were so fundie it was nauseating, and all the rest of the programming has become almost unwatchable.
CNN is dead.

No flight plan goes into the WTC, and if a plane has trouble pilots are trained to move away from buildings

6. Kitty Pilgrim - GOP shill |
|
Did you notice her use of the pronoun "we" when referring to the Bush bounce? That wasn't the universal "we".
Kerry does lead in healthcare in that stupid poll. And Schneider, troll that he is, did say the race is still too close despite that poll.

8. I like the Lou Dobbs show |
|
and his constant concentration about what's happening to jobs in this country is outstanding. He has a definite democrat leaning although he never talks about who he is for politically. I think he is truly for the working American man and woman and how this country will get "screwed" if the workers are screwed. I would nominate him for a position in Kerry's cabinet, like Sec. of Labor.

11. Dobbs is a Republican |
|
The difference between Dobbs and Bu$h* is that Dobbs believes that we need to have an INDUSTRIAL BASE for capitalism to work. bu$h* doesn't.
I still disagree with Dobbs fairly often when he is not talking about outsourcing, but at least he maintains his honor instead of selling out completely to kkkorporate amerikkka.

hard to believe he was or still is a GOP type. EVER. His whole thought process on the subject is excellent. No work results in no income results in no buying of corporation goods results in country falling apart. Which is what is in fact happening!
I also agree we need an industrial base...can't just be a total service economy...I just don't think it works. He speaks well for the American worker on job rights, job safety, the effect of illegal immigrant labor forcing down wages and the whole sick thing going on in the economy today. He doesn't take crap from the idiots who sometimes try to sell the "benefits" of the rotten things going on in the economy.

13. I think he does lean a bit toward Dems on economics, |
|
but he is also very conservative (well, not republikkkan this election cycle) when it comes to immigration issues. However, the republikkkans seem to be forsaking their traditional opposition to immigration (esp. illegal) in a cynical, ill-fated effort to pander to Hispanics.
He also engages in UN bashing sometimes. So, I don't think he's a full-blown Dem. And, unlike the dittoheads, he DOES display an ability to think critically and independently. I suspect he is Republican, but he is an old-liner akin to Eisenhower--in other words, someone who I can respect.

15. I agree with his position |
|
on illegal immigration because he backs it up with statistics and /or guests who know their stuff. He has done a lot of research on the subject and some cross-checking I have done on the subject, well, the numbers are there, I consider his position correct. Also his economics background really helps, he wants the guests to prove why they are saying whatever it is they say.
Haven't heard him on the UN bashing, other than if it was for the oil for food program. To me the UN should be stronger (how to do that if none of the countries want to pay for that).

16. Most of his UN bashing has to do with oil for food |
|
But as I recall, the UN said something regarding US immigration policy that Dobbs REALLY didn't like. Bashing time.
As far as immigration goes, I do believe that legal immigration should be OK or even encouraged but I do agree with his stance on illegals. It would help if it didn't take 10 years to get the proper paperwork.

nothing wrong at all with legal immigration and even illegal at times, for example, as in Cuba's case, where these people were really political refugees. But I think we have about 8 million illegals and I consider that outrageous. What other country would put up with that number proportional to their country's population. No country. I also read this INS study that they think, but are not sure there are about 75,000 illegal Arab and/or Moslems here. All I keep thinking of is there can be terrorists like Mohammed Atta types lurking, waiting for the word to do another hit on the US. And we let them in and let them stay here, just like those 9/11 guys!

14. CNN is brain dead...no longer a factor |
|
CNN's top show, Larry King, had .6 million viewers in a recent measurement. That compares to O'Liely's 2.5 million. These are both small numbers but .6 million is really small! Think of CNN's influence as being the size of Portland, Oregon. Very nice town but only about .6 million people. CNN's completely finished. Watch for them soon at a 'going out of business' sale near you. In fact, Gore's new cable news network will probably get their equipment at a bargain.

He and a group of investors bought a small cable news operation. It specializes in broadcasting 'international' news but that wasn't why they bought it. It has licenses and agreements in place with cable systems with 20 million people. He's going head to head with the other cable operations for the younger end of the market. Cool, huh!
