3. This is a test to see who, here, is drinking it! |

I just don't see Bush winning in November. I don't see the American people choosing him for the first time. I don't see how any of those people who voted for Gore in 2000, would vote for W this time around.
I just don't see it. But if that's what happens, then maybe its time for me to leave the US. I can't abide collective stupidity on that scale.
There are two things that could swing it for him: 1) The irrational tendencies of human beings -- Always an X-factor
2) Election fixing in key areas -- Possible but improbable with the intense media and watch-dogging going on.

5. Seriously, I think George is in big trouble |
|
although I remember people electing Reagan TWICE. ;)But Reagan was able to convince people that he cared about them. I do not think * has the same ability. Since he does not care about them. And his actions show this.

6. True but compared to Bush, was Reagan all that bad? |
|
I remember that people disliked Reagan, but got along anyway. The 1980's was a time of liberal explosions. The birth and independent rise of MTV is probably the best example.
Reagan managed to lie and really convience the people that he was the man for the job. He had quite a few helpers to boot. For one, there was a real backlash against Carter. I was too young at the time to tell what it was, but I knew that Carter, for some reason, was not well liked by a lot of people.
Then, in Reagan's second run, he had managed decent numbers for an incumbent.
This is something Bush has only enjoyed when lots of people are attacked. Bush can't generate positive numbers on his own to save his life. And nor can anybody else attached to his White House or the necon puke movement.
Bush can't win this election, or any other national election on his own. And his team sucks to boot. The only thing that will keep him squatting in the White House is the collective stupidity of the voting body AND election funny business.

I do recall, that up until 2000, I thought Reagan was the root of all evil in contemporary America.
Now he's more like the opening act of a lame band you want to get off stage before the main event.
If evil were like rock concerts that is.

Kerry has to start fighting. He's running against a guy with a lousy record he should be 20 points ahead.

4. 20 points? wow, you're giving the American people a lot of credit. |
|
In a nation so polarized, that number seems to be really out there! I think the nation is split pretty evenly between the "I don't cares, so I won't vote" and the "I like to vote" people.
Of those "I like to vote" people you split out the 'pugs, Dems and Independents.
Now, history tells us that America is a very liberal place. That fact shows up more clearly when more people vote.
If we want a 20 point lead, on election night, then we have to get voter registration up to unparalleled levels.
