I agree with Joe Scarborough?????
What is up with MSNBC??? I am sitting here listening to Joe Scarborough and Pat Buchanan discuss the Republican party and the perilous financial situation the nation is in. It was freaky weird because I'm sitting there agreeing with both of them... at least on this issue.

And I swear, Scarborough wasn't holding back on criticising the republicans either... He even sounds like a disgruntled republican himself!

2. Scarborough
has been gaining my respect lately. Of course he's a republican. Of course he's gonna be a shill for their causes. But you know what? Unlike the Rush's, the Hannity's and the Coulter's of the world, he'll point out when the repubs are wrong. I still disagree with him a lot, but I respect him more now.

God, I feel dirty now.

11. Good God, you should feel dirty after saying that
There is absolutely NO REASON IN THE UNIVERSE to have any shred of respect for that piece of crap.

He is a hate monger, pure and simple. He is paid to spread hate.

He is scum.

12. Think of Scarborough more as a whore than a Kool-Aid drinker
He's smart. His perception doesn't seem unhinged. And he can be fair if he doesn't believe there's a political price to pay. But then he can turn around and shill for the GOP as good as the rest.

I respect him more than Hannity (stupid Kool-Aid drinker) or Blitzer (stupid whore), but that's not saying much. And I don't respect him as much as Lou Dobbs--Republican values, so he gets it wrong sometimes, but smart and has integrity. Scarborough won't tell what he sees if there's a price. Republican values, smart, but a shill when he thinks it's in his interest.

18. He was also the first to defent Edwards from the 'trial lawyer' smears...
...when he was nominated. But then he ran swift boat liars for weeks on end, but then at the Nazi-Con, he had Steve Earle on, and after hearing his song, enthusiastically praised it saying it was "in the tradition of "Fortunate Son". He also treats liberal guests with more respect than O'Liely. He seems to be a repug who is quite capable of at least understanding both sides of an issue.

If he didn't kill Lori, I could respect him to a degree. But I can't help but wonder...

And his piggy eyes can be annoying...

But still I'd rather see an hour of Killer Joe than 10 minutes of O'Liely.

And O'Liely is supposedly an "independent"! LOL!

3. I read the first 40 pages of Scarboroughs book in Borders.
He repeatedly promised to talk about how Congress rips us off.

His book isn't that long...I think about 190 pages.

Well, the first 40 were just knocking social service and other spending.... but hey, how much of the pie is the military budget again?

He never did get down to any specifics in the first 40 pages. He just seemed to be kissing ass by attempting to knock both parties. That is, political spin, hey Dems, you should like me.
Don't forget that picture of Scarborough seated behind Wubya at a
Wubya rally. He wasn't there as a newsperson, he was there in the
seat of important supporters.

15. He said tonight that
on Lou Dobbs that his book is really about how once the people (Congress) get into power, they will do anything to stay in power. He also quoted a whole bunch of figures about spending increases (I think 3% under Clinton and 7% under Bush) and said he was ...ummm...shocked.

5. Joe sometimes makes good points
although i usually disagree with him, there have been times i agree. Pat Buchanan lately has been making sense... which is kind of scary. I don't agree with him on much, but his input on the Iraq war has been good lately.

7. I believe we are witnessing the beginning of the republican party split
Scarborough is slamming the congress mostly the Republicans but also some of the Democrats naturally.

Pete Peterson is on now talking about the failure of the current government to reign in it's spending.

17. And when Pete Peterson is worried...
I get REALLY worried. By having this huge deficit, we are selling our ownership to other countries at a record pace.

I worry about my son. Time to move to New Zealand folks. Our kids future is screwed and my littl son will be paying and paying and paying.

I thought I was loosing it myself when I was agreeing with what they were saying. Actually looked out the window to see if the four horsemen were out riding and bringing forth the apocolypse.
