The soldier's death marked a terrible milestone in the controversial war and momentarily muted the debate over the conflict.

President Bush, speaking just before the awful arithmetic was released, told a campaign rally in Missouri that Americans would support the families of the dead in their prayers.

"My promise to them is that we will complete the mission so that their child or their husband or wife has not died in vain," Bush said.

1. Talk is cheap
and those are pretty senitments. But Bush's actions have shown that he cares little or nothing for the troops.

4. The really sad and shocking thing to me is the clip I just saw
Kerry's comment that attributed the deaths to the "war on terrorist in Iraq".

For months we have been trying to separate those issues from Cheney's marrying them into the fear in the old folks minds, assisted by all the radio right wingers and Fox Network, and he just blew the whole damned thing away.

5. J. Kerry..
is fuckin' us up in my view. Maybe he doesn't want to be Pres.?

I had the shitty feeling when Dean was assasinated by the Dem party and the Mass Media that the Neo Fascists were happy that it was Kerry because he just doesn't have the charisma of Dean and also is an appeaser to the right wing of the Em party. When the Dems decided to squash the anti-Iraq invasion fervor of most of the Left it was a slap in our faces. Playing Kerry up as the war hero to counter the CIC and war on terror image that W has undeservadly, was a huge mistake and played right into the Neo Fascist's game. They had the SBL on deck and with Kerry's statements being all over the place regarding Iraq it was a loser. The only way he can win is if something goes real wrong with Iraq or the economy. It's just ABB for most of us. Am I wrong?

9. Yes disturbed...........
Kerry plays right into their hands. Kerry allows Bush to run over the top of him. He sits and takes it while it kills him. he hasnt even attempted to counter their lamo flip flop talking points. Meanwhile Bush has gotten away with major flip flops on everything he has done. The DNC didnt want a fighter like Dean. They wanted Daschel or Gephardt or Kerry.........and they got it

6. And neither he or Cheney have met a KIA coffin as it arrives
back in the States. Not the first one. Out of sight out of mind. Hell, they're just pawns in their eyes, they're expendible.

"Mission accomplished" my ass.
