CNN pinning Guard attacks on Kerry. |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-09-04 09:11 AM by onehandle
Breezes over most of the actual content and facts of the News Stories in favor of White House responses to attacks. Collectively, they dismiss the charges as political retribution.
Am I surprised?

1. Has CNN suddenly developed amnesia |

Edited on Thu Sep-09-04 09:27 AM by rocknation
about all the publicity they gave the Smear-Boaters despite the evidence that they were liars, and the FACT that they had DIRECT ties to the Bush campaign? If there's evidence that the Texans For Truth are doing the same thing, they should dig it up, put it out and shut 'em down--THAT'S THEIR JOB!

3. Gee, it's not like members of Kerry's campaign staff are involved. |
|
Not like a certain OTHER group I could mention that had Bush's campaign staff participating.
CNN can go fuck themselves.

4. And they ignored real ties between Bush and the Swifties |
|
Where in hell is this "liberal" media that I keep hearing so much about? CNN runs the Swifty Smear for three weeks, and not a peep about their troubles with facts, documentation and ties to the Bush campaign. 24 hours into new (old) revelations about Bush's dodging his NG service, and they're squawking that Kerry's behind it all.
Your $20 is on the dresser.

7. It's really the "funded by liberals" media |

And CNN, Fox, and MSNBC pump out the right-wing bilge 24/7.
The Truth not told: Kerry served honorably and heroically in combat and earned his medals.
Bush was put into a champagne squadron by his daddy's friends, took some flight training, skipped a mandatory physical exam, and then all-but disappeared for about a year. He has claimed that he hasn't used cocaine since 1974.
You won't see or hear that on TV!

5. Hey, at least they're reporting *something*... |
|
...about the Bush/AWOL story. Which is frankly better than I expected. I expected a total "who cares" from the press.
It's also prompting the WH to release additional documents, which, if handled right, should open up questions about why the documents weren't released when the WH originally said they released "everything". It's a coverup. A recent coverup, not "something that happened 30-something years ago" or "youthful indiscretion".
After the Bush/Swiftvets connections I don't think voters will get worked up over any Kerry/Texans for Truth allegations.

CNN's daytime rating for adults 18-54 in August was ZERO. CNN is a now a right-wing vanity operation.
