Can we get rid of Fox News after we win the election? |
|
Seriously, we need laws that place stringent requirements on what can be labeled as "news". Same thing for truth in advertising ala the "Fair and Balanced" label.
A lawsuit against Fox, I believe it was in Florida, actually sided with Fox and said that news does not have to be truthful. They can say anything they want and call it news.

2. um... historically, this idea of objective journalism is something odd... |
|
read some of the early 19th C and early 20th C papers.... there are some archives of them online.
I may not like what they say, but they have the right to say it, and I will defend to my death their right...
strengthening the libel and slander laws, and the truth in advertising laws however.....

4. I just watched "Outfoxed" last night (the dvd expose on FOX) |
|
Even though it was "preaching to the choir" it STILL was an eye opener. I had to stop watching every so often so I could BREATHE.
