It's okay to invade Iraq because Saddam is evil. It's okay to ignore the Geneva Convention because terrorists are evil. It's okay to ignore the poor because people can abuse the system.
and if the truth doesn't work out, make something up...
It's okay that Bush ignored intelligence leading to 9/11, because Clinton messed up too.
It's okay that Bush was AWOL because Kerry didn't serve honorably.
This is the heart of GOP logic. It's amazing how they gleefully and willingly accept any excuse for mediocrity. And when there's not a good reason, they make one up.
