http://editorial.gettyimages.com/source/CFW/details_Pop.aspx?iid=51298726&cdi=0BALAD, IRAQ: US soldiers from the 1st Infantry Division pay their respect in front of the helmet and rifle of their dead comrade, Specialist Edgar Daclan of the 1-77 Armored, who was killed on 10 September 2004, during a memorial service at a US military base in Balad, north of Baghdad, 13 September 2004. More than 1000 US soldiers have been killed since the invasion on Iraq in March 2003. AFP PHOTO/Jewel SAMAD (JEWEL SAMAD/AFP/Getty Images) (http://editorial.gettyimages.com/source/cfw/FrameSet.aspx?s=ImagesSearchState|0|30|0|1|||0|0|0|0|1|iraq|0|0&p=1) (try http://makeashorterlink.com/?N67924849 ) Seems that the only KIA reported since 8 September is 1st Lt. Alexander E. Wetherbee, killed on 12 September in Anbar ( http://www.defenselink.mil/releases/2004/nr20040913-1242.html).

1. Nobody by that name on icasualties.org either |
|
Only person mentioned on the 10th is a U.K. soldier, I think.

3. One 1st infantry division soldier listed has not yet been identified |
|
The name is not listed on icasualties, so that may be him.

They do what ever they can to keep them out of the news. Perhaps they will wait till friday afternoon, after 5:00 pm to release the figures.

or icasualties (whatever it is called now) -- on Sunday-- the total was 1007. Today it was 1014. Haven't heard anything about those seven. Gee, I wonder why? (/sarcasm)
